We had a faabulous day.

Stefan was out at a freinds house so we had a quiet and calm breakfast of Croissants and Fruit. We went for a leisurely 2hr walk. I was knackered!

We were suppossed to go to my In-laws but they were still at Church when we got there so we went to the pub in thier village for a pint. I had a bitter shandy and it was delicious. :D When we got the Inlaws they were interested in how the pregnancy was going (for a change) and then told my all about how thier vicars sermon was about the history of the Harvest Festival; Including  the wholesale appropriation of the Pagan spirit of the celebration!!! I couldn't have been more shocked if she'd whipped out a live fish from her cardigan!

So that was nice! I cooked a lovely Bean Goulash with Mashed potato for dinner and we had lovely chilled evening in front of the tele. Then this morning at 8:30 after I'd walked the dog we got in the garden and brought in the, rather dishevelled looking, crops and began turning over the soil ready for next season. Considering I've been very lax with tending them this year we haven't done too bad.

I love this time of year, it always seems to be when I get things moving and ready for Winter. Mind you this year I don't really have a choice. :D

I hope everyone else had a fabulous time?!

I had an amazing time, aside from the open circle we really got into the celebration aspect. I'll admit I over indulged a little and ended up with the worst hangover I've ever suffered!!

Aside from that though I was in nature, completely surrounded by it and also invoking a God I'd never had any experience with. In general the whole feeling was a year well spent, like the harvest I'm starting to reap much of what I have sown and its been a fairly good year so you can imagine how good things are.

I guess in a way I'm reaping many rewards and also preparing in my own way for a restful and reflective winter. With all the things that have been spinning out of control its been a welcome change of pace. I guess the biggest highlight for me was showing a very dear friend how much potential they have and what power is held in the simplest thing :)
