The First New Moon of the Year

Postby Adarian on Fri Jan 04, 2008 2:01 pm

I came across this site http://paganwiccan.about.com/od/wiccanandpaganrituals/ht/New_Moon.htm?nl=1 and I thought it was really nice in how it explained this. I was planning myself on doing something on the first New Moon of the year as it is something special and dear. I thought this would be nice to share with you all that you could use and maybe altar in some way to use with your kids to celebrate the New Moon; which is the 8th of January.

Brightest Blessings!

I really loved this if I'm completely honest, but not only because of how it allows you to have children involved but for its simple nature. So many of us have problems getting out there and performing rites and this is a nice easy way to do that.

Thankyou Adarian!!!

My thoughts exactly too!

Why make it formal. Simplicity is the easiest thing. Personally, you do not have to make it formal either if you do not have kids either  . Do what is comfortable. I like things that are comfortable, not a lot supplies to gather and worry about; plus if you want to share with someone it is easy too! It is also adaptable I thought. This could be made into to fit any aspect for any path or paths to share with you, you and your coven, your spouse/significant other, and/or family. Extremely doable in all factors.

I know I have already got some simple ideas not exactly like here, but it did give me some to go on to use for Tuesday. Will share then.

Brightest Blessings!
