The Element of Earth

EARTH

This is a personal favourite of mine, but once again I must say, aspects will be missing and whatever you can add to this please do so. The more discussion we have the better :)

ELEMENT - Earth

DIRECTION - North (Northen Hemisphere)

ZODIAC SIGNS - Virgo, Taurus and Capricorn

ELEMENTALS - Gnomes, Trolls and Elves (depending on tradition)

OVERVIEW - A wonderful element for those who are practical and well grounded. It tends to govern the aspects of stability and common sense within the person who is influenced by it. But as we know, this lovely planet we walk upon is known as earth and for many she is known as mother. So with that thought, earth is also about fertility and the reality of what happens around us. We all know that everything action has a reaction, earth is a great teacher in understand the nature of this.

But don't be fooled by its stability and well grounded nature, sometimes the earth can fall down around us, swallow us up or even spin madly out of control. Though its the element of being practical, its negative aspects mean we can all too easily become wrapped up in what we are doing and forget about the rest of the world. Egotistical people tend to find themselves trapped in this, the idea of being overly independant and unable to see beyond what is practical.
