Samhain moments

Postby Angelmouse on Thu Nov 01, 2007 10:28 pm

Ok so I'm a little sozzled at the moment but i want to tell you about my rituals.

Last night I got my family to write thier intentions for their wishes for the next year. Tonight tied some knot magic with a spell which I then burnt to release and buried it the ashesin my veg patch. After which I sat out in my garden and drank a toast to the goddess under the milkyway. It was beautiful as it was but then the trees over the railway track seemed to shift and i felt the power of the goddess bearing down on me. I was in totally awe!!! I nearly wet myself and once I'd calmed down i stood up out of my chair and raised my glass high! i think I actually said out load that 'I don't care how loony I sound Honour my Goddess!' mind you after intoning my binding spell in the back garden I think my neigbors aleady realised I'm a bit different.

Happy and Loving Samhain times love from Angelmouse. XX

Sounds like you had an amazing night, I would love to tell you more about the pagan aspect of my evening, but the downside is I can't (long story).

What I can say is that I had an amazing time with both of my nephews, they walked away from this flat saying things like 'THAT WAS THE BEST HALLOWEEN EVER!!!'

If Samhain is considered the third havest, the rewards I reaped from those seeds laid in preperation were something else ;)

Come to think of it, Angelmouse here has shared a wonderful experience, does anyone else have any they would like to share?

You know, how was your Samhain time etc ;)

Yeah sorry 'bout that. I had the best part of two bottles of wine inside me and felt the need to share with those that weren't gonna check me like I'm a loon.

I did have a wonderful evening though and it's not over yet! I'm doing the family meal thing on Sunday so that we can spend some time together. My oldest son is expressing an interest in the whys and wherefors of my beliefs and has declared on a couple of occasions that he considers himself to be Pagan. :) I'm not sure he fully understands the connotations behind such a remark but hopefully we'll discuss over the weekend.

I'm really glad you enjoyed your time with your nephews Cadno. You had so obviously been looking forward to it for some time and for it to go off without a hitch and have them enjoy it that much is really special. Golf clap for the gentleman I think. *golf claps*

You must have to be so strong sometimes to uphold your vows the way you do. You're a bigger man than I think I would be. :D

i did a nice little ritual in my living room to honour my ancestors. then i did a bit of pendulum work and spoke to my nana. i also met someone i should have met a long long time ago and i'm quite ashamed that i didn't.
then i did a nice bout of meditation, which i haven't had the chance to do in ages.
aside from little trouble with a certain changeling, it was definately the best samhain i've ever had.

I am gonna have to say that our little night did not go as planned. Basically due to both me and my son having pnuemonia, but we did do a little something. Real simple. Do not want to say too much, but I can say that we can lots of candles lit everywhere, incense burning, meditation kicking, and burned our special thoughts and thanks on papers. Oh, and of course I couldn't say no to letting him go trick or treating. That would be just be a bad mommy  . Dad took him out for an hour then he came home and did all of this and had some hot cocoa  too!

I, of course, did other things later that night. Just did not do too much to strain myself being sick.

I am glad that everyone remembered their ancestors past.

Brightest Blessings!

Well the Samhain break is over and it's on into the next cycle. My Roast Beef dinner was the single best roast I've ever done but I put too much up and nobody could move for about an hour afterwards. Even the yorkshire puds were perfect!

I'm gonna have a lot to live up to over the Yule Tide. :? :)

I hope this turning sees you all well and moving forward in the ways you wish to.

Light and Blessings
