Righto. That done I'll answer the actual question. :)

MEAD!!! CIDER!!!

We are having a party. Since I don't know anyone on this side of the screen who even knows what Paganism is I'm cunningly disguising my Samhain party as a Hallowe'en Party *taps nose twice* Clever Huh?! Hehe. I'm not sure whether or not to make it fancy dress because I think some times the normals get all freaked and would rather not go to a party than have to go to all the hassle of dressing up. Pretty mean spirited says I but I don't want people to feel uncomfortable so...

I shall be producing a Jacket potato buffet with fresh cut bread and butter cold meats and cheeses; the obligitory Chillies, Meat and Bean and generally making sure everyone leaves feeling stuffed. I'm a chef, that's what I do!

There shall be games as described above and general merryment.

A simple toast of mead to those absent friends shall be included during the night and my own personal fave the sowing of my thanks for the year past poured into an oak leaf or otherwise gifted token and dug into my vegetable patch along with the organic green manure.

Lovely simple, very personal and since my path is centered around the turning of the wheel, I think, a fitting end to the season.

Light and Blessings (and major excitement)

Very lovely I must say :D .

For those with kiddies at home you can always get some children favored Halloween movies to have them watch as they calm down.

Lots of ideas here and I honestly hope that everyone has a most wonderful and blessed day then!

Brightest Blessings!

Well, thought I would revive this thread as the time will be coming upon us again. By having this done WAY in advance I am hoping that we can come up with up something special this year. More creative since the economy has hit everyone everywhere. I have already got costumes for my son and I. I do not know if hubby will be participating as he is being a bit of a hum bug this year.

I know I have some wonderful ideas and links posted on here, but was curious as to what everyone had planned for this year? As I am still unsure till school starts for me I do not know yet. Have to wait and see till next month, but I am looking into certain recipes for eating. Something different.

What about you?

Brightest Blessings!

i'm thinking i might involve rhiannon in my annual rememberance ritual this year. more and more she is asking about pagan things and tends to have a generally pagan attitude towards things. lol she says hello to every holly tree we pass, and there are quite a few round here. i might take her down the river on the day at some point and do something down there.
other than that its a samhain meal cooked by me.

Well, we now have a nice graveyard in our front yard. My hubby is wanting to go all out this year in decoration. His little evil mind is working overtime   . Still working on the whole thing as well. I will post pictures on this when it is all complete.

Does anyone plan on contacting someone that passed this year? This is a good time to remember and speak with them and honor them on this most wonderfulest of days.

I am...My grandmother!!!!

Brightest Blessings!

* I will also post some information from the Circle Round on Samhain. Will let you know what my son does and the things you can do for this fun and wonderful and merry day :D .

Brightest Blessings!

I'm a gonna bake!

Banana and Carrot cake, Jammy Oatjacks and maybe a Lemon Cake too. We're keeping it family this year since as my pregnancy progresses I'm getting more and more tired. Plus No bugger turned up last year so...:D

I'm gonna take Charlie Trick-or-Treating just because I think he'd find it exciting and I might not be able to next year, depending on the baby etc.

The obligatory lovely meal will be consumed on Samhain night, not too sure what that's going to be yet. I'm seriously considering a Barbecue! :)

No booze this year though until Bubble's born.

Pictures coming soon of our yard. It is done. Don't think I can take pictures with the strobe lights on, but will try and see how it turns out.

And just to update on who I will be contacting this Friday will be: My Grandmother and my Father since he left this world 2 days after I posted last time  .

Will also post pictures of costumes. Gotta see what my hubby is this year! Totally cool  .

Can't wait to see everyone else's!!!!!

i will be honoring several people who have passed this last year in my usual ritual - my husbands aunt wendy, ians mum glynis, and one of my old school friends father who i just found out passed very very recently in the last week or two. (i really liked eddie, cos i spent most of yr 11 at his and tina's house and he was always very nice to me and once gave me a flower cos he said i was a very nice person. and when i split up with his son, boy did he give shane hell. i actually saw him about two weeks ago. and coincedentally, eddies wife, tina, is wendys husbands sister. so the smith family have lost two spouses this year). and of course i'll be honouring my ancestors, as i always do. and i think i will try and contact my spirit siblings again.

I'm literally taking things as a new start this year, the down side is I won't be doing my usual party for the boys because I'm actually out doing the open circle.

I'm hoping it will be a fantastic open though and with permission from various members of the coven I'll see if I can post pics :)

Sorry guys for being so late. I have some wonderful pics to post, but I have not figured out how to put my pics from camera (that I have downloaded to computer, but on a different file than my other pics :? ) to have them put into photobucket to share here. New cameras :x .

Anyways, I am trying to really find time to answer all and then some. Please be patient. If anyone else has pics from Halloween aka Samhain please post. Would love to see :D !
