Nice poll for you guys, thought it would be fun to see if we all agreed with what our astrological sign says about us. I know for me I have many of the traits of a Virgo, but I'm not very materialistic in terms of belongings. For me its more about the richness of spirit and my sign can reflect that depending on how you read it.

I am Scorpio and I can fly as high as the noble eagle or play it down and dirty, stinging as if a scorpion, both of which symbolize my zodiacal sign. I have been told so many times that I am passionate, intense, can be green with envy, can be vindictive that I almost begin to believe some of these appellations. If I took seriously what is said and written, I would be making love all night and planning insurgencies all day. I am drawn to the occult, I am competitive, I desire victory but I also insist on fair play. It is not easy to defeat me because, like the fabled Phoenix, I rise from my own ashes...I come alive when most people would consider me dead and buried. I adore secrets, I am sensual, my psychic impressions usually are accurate, my dreams are prophetic and I am an incurable romantic. I delve deep, I reject superficial responses, I am the probing editor, psychoanalyst, finder of lost persons, purveyor of arcane aspects of the law, knowledgeable about taxes and various aspects of inheritance.

I am tormented by the fact that evil exists. Maybe that is why I seem to be a natural healer. I abhor suffering and will risk my own skin to save others. Oh, yes, I can be evangelistic. i have to say lynx, i didn't realise you were a scorpio. that means i know 4 scorpios, and i can't stand two of them! but the other two (you and white lilie) i get on with really well. maybe it was the year the other two were born in. cos i know aries and scorpio don't generally get on, and in chinese astrology rats (me, 1984) and horses (them, 1978) really don't get on at all. so maybe it that combo!

I use to date an Aries. We were better friends than boyfriend/girlfriend. I was born in the Chinese Year of the Rooster (1969). My mother is a Rat (1948).

I voted no for one simple reason - although I do have many traits of a Capricorn, I fully believe that as a general rule, you must take into consideration the fact that there were 12 planets in the sky at the time of birth, and a whole other mess of stuff up there that affects the personality...

I've voted No because I'm right on the cusp of Gemini and Cancer. Add that to the variations at the time and place of my birth and all the encumbant details of such then you might get an overall picture of what those circumstances may have produced butit wont be 100% me.

We are all the sum of our experiences; what astrology can do is predict how we might react to those experiences given the etheric influences at the time of our birth.
