Hello everyone. I am here to help you and guide you in raising your children on your path. I am open to all paths and I am willing to help anyone who has questions in regards to how to introduce, show, and include your child or children into the Old Ancient Ways.

I have begun including my son; who is almost 7 years old, into teaching and learning with him the things to help guide him in the Ancient Ways. I will share my experiences with you as I progress with him and the things we do together. If you have ideas and information to share please do so. Just make sure you do not fringe upon any copyright and get permission from the original source. Please post these in your posts so all who enter here know who is to receive credit.

I am also open for discussion on topics on children in general. This goes for all ages as we do know that parenting or parents to be have alot to learn and know and share.

Brightest Blessings!

Hi Adarian,

I'm not a Mum but hey its no secret that I want to be.
I've been collecting things and writing down my thoughts and various bits of info for my children for years. The way I see it I'm in preparation for parenthood (just need to deal with the small matter of getting pregnant  ).

I'm wondering how you first introduced your beliefs to your son?
Have they been a part of his whole life?

OK, I have lots more questions but I'll leave it at that for now. I am really interested in this whole topic.

My son got interested really all by himself. He knew mommy did "special" things (as this is what I called it at the time to him). Then just one day out of the blue he wanted a garden with faeries and dragons and angels. He then got into my dresser (I have this place where I keep all things hidden; especially my athame and wand. He found them and wanted to know what they were and why I had them). This was the beginning of what we are now doing.

He now has a dragon called "Pete" that was given to him by my father who happens to be a High Priest for some coven in Colorado. It is his protection dragon and Rhys speaks to him all the time. He is by his bed. He also loves incense; especially Dragon's Blood. He picked this one incense once at Walmart and automatically knew the name. I never told him  . I think he has some special powers. When he was little he used to tell me about ghosts that he sees. He hasn't seen to many lately, but sometimes he does get me  . I got him a wand too. It is a plastic one though as I feel he is not ready for a real wood wand just yet. He has me keep it for him in a safe place.

I basically just go with the flow with him. I do not push it on him. When he has the "mood" I go into it with him. We will do it together and actually it is quite fun and bit more relaxing this way.

I will start a new topic here very soon on these things on how "Rhys (my son) got started. That might make a great read and information for those wondering.

Freyja.....very good to get prepared. There is soo much you can do even from the pregnancy state to adulthood. That just might have to be another topic here later
