Does anyone here have any particular author that they just can't gel with?

What particular book or publication turned you away from them?

Its not personal but Silver Ravenwolf, not as a person but as an author. I tend to find her books skirt around subjects that need far more in depth discussion and expansion. For example in the book to 'Stir a magick Cauldron' she has only on tiny section on centering which is a highly important thing when engaging in any magickal practise.

I will say there are elements of her works that are accessable to the wider reader but for the serious occultist she is very lacking in regards to her writing.

So to pretty much sum it up, although she is well versed in her field (boasting some impressive lineage) I feel she does not convey that wealth of experience to paper.

Tony & Aileen Grist, Gavin & Yvonne Frost and most Llewellyn book churn-outs. With very few exceptions American books on the craft.
