Cadno's field of dreams

Postby Cadno ap annwn on Mon Mar 31, 2008 1:16 am

Ok, I have many wonderful and colourful dreams and unfortunately I can't share a great many of them. But this is one I'd love to share with you as its always been one that has often confused me or given me that amazing slap the universe often gives us.

The Dream

I find myself sitting in a field, nothing amazing about it other than its a perfect night, the moon smiling down in her fullness and the tree's being lit in a ghostly shade of silver. I find myself humming a tune, this is a tune that I instantly forget when I wake, but what I know of it makes it feel like a tune of beauty.

The dream though quickly loses its tranquil nature, something rushes around me in the tree line. I hear a noise as if a thousand people cry out at once, screams of men and woman as they seem to echo some horrible act. I cover my ears, the moon glows brighter, I see flames in the tree's, people still screaming with one voice in bright darkness.

Then there is silence.

I uncover my ears, look up to see what horror awaits my eyes, but there is nothing, only the tranquility of the scene before. Then, and only then do I hear something that has plagued this dream the many times I've had it. One voice, deep, old and different. It simply says one word 'GO!!' and I wake.

So there you have it, an interesting dream to say the least, and one I've spend many an hour trying to work out on days. What do you all think of it?

Cool dream.

It sounds like a race memory to me or something similar. There's obviously a past echo there and of something quite horrific. I think, with the way the scene removes its self from time, that it is a message from the universe. You are one of those rare people that are a conduit for the old times. It seems you've been given the task of keeping the memories alive.

I think the basic premis being; even though everything looks calm and tranquil, there have been traumas here. This reading could apply to almost any situation or in fact most people, albeit at different levels. I think it is a reminder of how moments can be forgotten if they are not incorporated into ones life. How can we know where we're going if we don't know where we've been?

Although somehow Cadno I suspect that you know this yourself already.

Ok, this one is a little more interesting, the dream I know as the lady in red.

I find myself sitting and watching a beautiful meadow scene, something so tranquil it often makes me feel like sleeping even though I'm aware that I am lol.

The first thing I tend to notice is a red silk scarf hanging on an old wooden fence. I quickly run up to retrieve it before the wind takes it, but as I do I'm a little too late, it flies off into the air and I'm left chasing it!!

Then I find myself on the edge of a cliff, watching the scarf fly off into the setting sun, I feel a sense of loss at not being in time to stop it. Then a hand rests gently on my shoulder, I can see the same red on a long hanging sleeve. A soft and gentle voice whispers into my ear 'it is better to know what we have lost than to never know what we have'

I quickly turn to face her and I am met with veil covering a delicate woman. I can see through the veils and know that she is truly beautiful, but her face remains hidden from me. I ask her what she means and as I do she turns and starts to walk away, gesturing me to follow her. I do so, wondering what she is going to show me.

We approach a woodland and within it a clearing, a single plant grows in the shade of the tree's. 'This is solitude' she says, softly spoken as when she first spoke.

'Doesn't it want to be with the other flowers?' I ask, being drawn into the gentle nature of this flower, its white blossom brighter than any star.

'It is, nothing is ever alone, even when we have lost and believe it so' she turned to face me.

'Who are you?' I ask

She laughs and suddenly her shape vanishes, the veil covering her flys off into the distance and I see in the distance another chasing as I had the scarf.

Well there you have it, another one of my colourful dreams :)
