ok, well i don't tend to remember my dreams much, but the ones i do are very vivid. they a usually quite wierd.
i'm not very good at the interpretation thing, as it gets a bit complex for me.

but here is one dream that still puzzles me a bit that i had a little while ago (as in a week or two ago):

i was on holiday with my mum, dad and two little boys. (my brother and sister were there too but didn't really play a part in the dream) i didn't recognise the boys, but felt i was related to them. my mum was very protective of them and they always stayed at her side.
the place where we were on holiday was drab, run down, and there were lots of browns, they sky was always grey and icky. there was a long street with single floor maisonnette kind of buildings, with another street creating a t junction at the top. there was a big quite grand building, kind of like a school the the junction with a few cars parked outside. my mum (and the boys) and i were going to a shop on the 'school' road, but we didn't get there because the cars somehow caught fire. i got a bit frightened and said we shoudl go back bit my mum really fought me on it. the sky was darkening and it was obvious a storm was on the way. my dad joined us and convinced mum we should go. down that long street i saw a tornado form and start moving towards us, but not in a straight line. i said we should all get inside adn we went into one of the maisonettes. it was plain with next to no furniture, again a dirty beige and brown couple of rooms. my dad and i put a mattress (but i don't remember seeing a bed) against the fairly big window. but my mum took it down and pulled a material blind down and let the boys draw on it. i kept saying that she should put the mattress back, but she didn't listen. i peeked out of the window and there were 5 or 6 tornado all heading for us. my dad started to panic, oir get angry with mum and made for the door. i screamed at him not to touch it, but he did and he got some kind of massive electric shock and he caught fire and he was on fire for a few minutes while i tried to put him out. he was totally burned, with (i don't want to get too graphic) very serious injuries, i mean think the kind of thing you would see on casualty.
then it skips to the hospital, and i'm sitting next to my dads bed and he's covered head to toe in bandages. i talk to him gently and i know he can hear me but he can't talk, he can only move his eyes. then i get my two kids and my daughter asks why grandpops (i called my dad pops) won't talk. i tell her that grandpops got 'a big owwey' and he got very hurt. no one else came to see him, it was just me and my kids and it was really upsetting but i had this grim determination that i wasn't going to leave him and that i would always stay by him and help him.

then i woke up.

That's a pretty full on start to your Dj Hon. :o

What you say about not remembering is how most people are and the best way to rectify that, is to write them down, at least in note form, whenever you have them.

What I suggest for you just from that first one is that you post the dreams that you feel are most relevant.

Not all dreams have hidden depths and/or messages. Some of them are just trying to catagorise the previous day. I think someone of your, awareness, (is that the right word? I think you'll know what I mean) will know when a dream has a specific significance. Much like this one.

I'll PM you with what I make of it once I have a good look at it and we can take it from there. :)

Brilliant place to start. X

cool, cheers hun. all my dreams that i remember are as full on as that one. even worse the ones i remember always feel relevant. like this one actually made me cry, and anyone who knows me will know that this dream is unusual for me.

ok this one felt really weird. i had it this morning.

i was living with my parents. but i only ever saw my dad in this dream.
i had a quite small bedroom where i spent most of time, oddl folding washing and organising stuff. my bedroom window looked out onto the front door of another block of flats.
this is really hard to explain because there is a kind of back story.
while folding washing on my bunk bed (i have no idea why there would be a bunk bed in my room except maybe that i had one when i was little and shared a room with my sister) i could often see my old teacher who was also a friend out of the window knocking on the door of those flats. as i would be looking out the window for a second and see him he would turn round and see me and which point i would quickly look away and carry on folding (this happened several times). then i went out to the back garden (which is the back garden from my old house in nottingham) and would talk with my dad and we got on and there was a real feel of love between us. then at one point he bought me a card. i got the feeling he knew who they were from - my old teacher. after a while he bought me a pile of them and said it was getting rediculous and some of them had notes in them that weren't appropriate or right or something. i told him to stop treating me like a child and that i was 26 not 4 (which was odd cos in the waking world i am 23). i took the cards up to my room and put them on my desk and started folding washing but my main aim was to get a look out of the window. my old teacher was there knocking on the door of the flats as always and seemed to know i was looking again and looked over and i quickly turned around again. i went to the pile of cards, that looked like christmas cards. i kind of pondered over them for a while and when i was about to look at these notes.....

and then turk woke me up.
it felt really weird, very vivid but normal at the same time. i knew my old teacher was almost obsessed with me. there are elements of the dream that i know i don't remember but why i don't remember them i don't know.

i had a really weird dream this morning.
it was really, well fantasy based.
i was one of a number of siblings, and i was the second youngest. the youngest was a blonde girl who always wore this fantasy maiden style white dress and she was always complaining. and while talking with a brother and parent i said (it was snowing outside) 'why don't you make her sleep outside, then she'd have reason for complaint'. none of us like her cos she was always moaning. then me and a brother go outside and start fighting. like with swords. something about there can only be one of us left, kinda like the film stardust.
it was so weird it caught my attention.

and i had another weird dream in the 20 minutes i got in bed after pulling the first shift with the kids.
it was me and the kids and i was preparing to do some thing. then my daughter gt hold of the phone and kept ringing my nan (in RL my nan has alzheimers and i don't even have her number) by accident. so the last time i take the phone off her and say sorry to my nan and start having a conversation with her.

tbc, gotta go to an appointment. i'll finish it this afternoon.....

right, where was i....
yeah so i start talking to my nan asking how she's been, and i walk into the kids room and a pair of hands (from the other side of the curtains) opens the curtains. but there is no one on the other side, it was just the hands. i kind of squeel and my nan asks if i'm ok and i say i'm fine its just that something weird just happened. so i walk back into the front room and sit on our computer chair. i hang up the phone and the chair starts moving across the room with me on it. and it starts flying cross the room. by this point i'm thinking ok i have a ghost. then i got woken up.

I love dreams like that where just mad stuff happens. They usually end up with me becoming lucid and doing something really cool.

These ones are most common when going back to bed because even though your body is still tired, your brain has been stimulated. Also you have been through your deep sleep stages by then and it's much easier to enter REM. That's why when trying to induce lucidity, alot of pratitioners, including myself, use a technique called Wake Back To Bed (WBTB). It does increase the chances of more vivid dreams and also lucidity.

Like that one :)

ok, i only remember a few bits, more like details from my dream last night. mostly cos i was awake for most of the night and at best only got into a light sleep.

but lets see. the main stage of the dream was this big asian style mall. not like pagodas and stuff, but the modern kind. there were classrooms in there. and i was a kind of student. i was a student in some lessons and a teacher in others and everyone else there was the same.

in one corner there was an asda (weird i know) and it had this small lift. it had no doors so you just stepped in and out. there were three levels. the entrance to asda was on the middle level, but all the good stuff was on the top level. but the catch was you could only get the lift from the bottom level, it didn't stop in the middle level. so you had to go down to go up.

there were these kind of communication stands with the internet on them, kind of like phone booths, but not a booth and no phone  .
and that teacher from that other dream was there somewhere. (in the real world we had talked that day about maybe doing a 11ak reunion) and on the big screen of the comms thingy there was a kind of memo/email saying about the 8ak through to 11ak reunion (a bit hard to explain....ak was our tutor group. the original year 7 tutor groups got switched around in year 9, and i joined the school and thus ak in year 10). and we got happy about it. i was with a few asian looking girls and one of them was my old friend from ak, yoon joo, but it wasn't her. errrrm, like it didn't look like her, and it wasn't her name, but i knew it was her.
and an interesting point about the message....andy wrote something like 'as you all know i abandoned rydens for the edinburgh vaults...'. he lives in sutton last i knew and i know that he works in london, so where the edinburgh vaults thing came from i have no idea.

the main thing i noticed about this dream is that it didn't seem to have an overall plot line. it was just 'normal life' for want of a better term.

thats all i can think of for now. but at least there was no family this time! :D

LOL

Cool!

I love dreams like that. The whacky normal life. :)

Sounds to me like you're getting things sorted. Making plans. Living life. That kind of 'normal stuff' that gets us through.

The lift is interesting, No middle ground?! Up is best but you can't have it both ways, kind of thing. And the school theme; very big at the moment, a lot of life lessons dreams going on for a lot of people.

Not sure about the Edinborough bit though, a bit outside my range. I've never been further North than Wolverhampton. lol.

ok, got two to share. my dream from the night before last night i only remembered as i was going to bed last night.

dream 1 -

i was living in calverton again (where i lived in notts), in the old house with turk and the kids. but alot of my friends from down south were there too. and it was my friends wedding (which is actually in may) and my other friend karen was pregnant. for some reason her and her husband (she's not married in real life and i don't think she has a boyfriend either) couldn't keep the baby. but it was nothing ominous, it seemed kinda normal and they weren't upset. they offered it to me, and i spent alot of time trying to convince turk that we should take it cos it felt like it was already mine in a way. at one point i turned around to karen and said that we wanted to move out of the area at some time and was that ok? she seemed a little upset that she wouldn't be able to see the baby, but was fine with it. thats all i really remember.

dream 2 -

ok, after watching hotel babylon last night......i worked in the hotel as a kind of ...i don't know actually, i did alot of things. i kind of oversaw a lot of things. i was married to dexter fletchers character, tony and it was nice. felt kinda warm and comfortable. anyway, one of the newer additions to the staff was having money trouble and couldn't afford the room she had at the hotel anymore. i said her and her husband could stay with us until they get themselves sorted. her husband also worked at the hotel. when me and tony were ready to go home we all (including our new guest) went to get a lift home from the hotels driver in a really big really posh car. but i noticed that it had one flat tyre and the other three desperately needed air. the driver thought it had been done on purpose, so he calls a friend of his. his friend arrived on a beat up scooter with a mate of his and says he can fix the problem but it would take a while. he turns to his mate and tells him to 'put the comfy chairs back in'. then he turns to us and says he'll get the comfy seats put back in so e can at least get home (we know he's referring to a car, but he never specifically says its a car). while we are waiting we go back into the hotel and my guest takes me to where her husband is finishing his shift cleaning a room. it turns out her husband is someone i went to school with (he was that popular, but nice guy at school). he says they are going to find the secret cave and i say how romantic that is (i have no idea about that only i knew the cave was related to the hotel somehow, like a legend or something). we have a chat and i tell him how much he's changed. then as i look in a cupboard at the other end of the room from them they call me to me that there is a huge spider. i look round and between us there is a big spider (not huge, but still big and honestly i have seen bigger). it looked really mean, and a little like a scarab beetle. i manage to coax it out of the door and while i'm calling to get one of the kitchen staff (we were near the kitchen) to get the spider...turk comes in and wakes me up.
one more detail about that dream...at one point me and the guest are in an elevator talking about hair, and i say about tonys short curly hair. then i laugh and say i can't talk, and look in the mirrored door of the lift and my hair is very dark brown short and curly with bug curls. think julia ormnd in the film sabrina but a little bit bigger. that is totally different to my hair. looked really nice though

Dream 1

Sounds to me as if you have a couple of good ideas on the way.

Dream 2

I love Hotel Babylon. Don't you think this last series has gone a little bit surreal though?

Your hair sounds lovely, maybe you should get it done for the wedding if you're going. :D

A lot of people in the Lucid Dreaming community will use a mirror as their pathway to Lucidity by climbing through it. Just a thought if you've ever fancied controlling your dreams. :)

do you know, ever since i saw Sabrina, i wanted that hair! but my hair won't hold curls. i got it permed once for my sisters wedding and it lasted a whole 2 months. i had to use an entire can of hairspray to get it to hold till the evening. i am getting my hair cut for the wedding on monday though. i'm getting it thinned out a bit again and a fringe put in. think phoebe from charmed in season 5.

anyway, i had a few weird dreams last night, but i only really remember one of them.

i was living in my flat. turk and the kids weren't in the dream. like they were no longer in my life. anyway, i went over to the shop (which wason the other side of the street, when in real life its on the same side as my flat) andi was trying to choose a birthday present for my sister in law louise. it was really weird cos it was a choice between some bleach and a pen set. i knew she needed both but i couldn't choose. then a good looking man behind me struck up a conversation with me and helped me choose. lol i chose the pen set! then i saw the paper and it said that a woman had been killed.
a few days later i was back in the shop and so was the man. we talked again and he had a sense of humour just like mine so we got on really well. then i saw the paper again and it said another woman had been killed in the same way as the other woman and it warned all women to be careful.
the next day i was going about my business in my flat when i was attacked by a man with weird eyes and one of those craft stanley knife kind of things. i fought him off pretty well but he managed to cut me across the chest. then he managed to knock me down and just as he was about to kill me, the man from the shop pushed him off me and chased him out. he came back and asked if i was alright and saw the cut on my chest and put his hand over it to stop the bleeding. it wasn't deep, not even deep enough to warrant stitches. he got a towel in the end and put it over the cut. (you can imagine that him putting his hand over the cut and him being so good looking and being so close led to a bit of tension!). i asked him how he knew i was being attacked and he said he had been sent to help me. i said if he knew that i was going to be attacked why didn't he help the other two women (it was the same guy). he said that their deaths were 'fixed points' and their deaths would create a chain reaction leading to events that had to happen in the future. i asked him about me and he said 'the seers' said there was a ripple around me meaning my death could be changed and prevented. we just started talking about it when....

turk came in and told me he was going to work in half an hour.

I have to ask, Do you watch Doctor Who? I'd be astounded if you don't because that parallels the plot of Saturdays episode. 8)

As for the rest of it I think you might need to keep an eye out for omens. Maybe not warnings as such but marking an occurence that grazes your awareness more than once. Then find out what it means.

I like dreams like this because they're a SC heads up. :) Quite often useful.
