Does your child have a connection to certain things? Do they like to have certain things put in a special place in their room? If so, make a little special place for all these things for them and tell them that this is a special altar for all your special things. As with each passing season you can add things to help them understand the meanings of these times.

Here is one from the Fall Harvest (last year) that my son chose:

As you can see he loves rocks. He says that he can speak to them and they talk back. He has his special rocks there, along with his favorite picture of me and him when he was little and our family picture, an oil diffuser, his altar box that his dad gave him (this is where he keeps his dragon necklace and Thor's hammer). We have leaves from our red oak tree and pine cones we collected from the cematary down the street.

Please share yours here. I will post up his new one once I get our camera fixed

Brightest Blessings!

My son used to love the moon and crystals... but when his dad took him away from me, he left all his crystals behind on the floor like rubbish.

At least he'll always have the moon...

I love that idea, and as they grow so does the altar. In a way I wish I had something like that in my childhood. can you imagine the power such items would have for an experienced person who grew up with them.

You're right, that would have been an amazing thing to have as a child and growing up.

Sekmut

I am sorry for you and for what happened. Your son will have the moon and I bet he just might have something special there. You just never know. Feelings can get all abound in such times, but the real feeling is always there. Place those crystals with a picture of your son and some of his favorite things in a special altar for him at your home. This can be a special protection and guidance altar for you and him; even though he is not there physically. He will feel it and appreciate it inside.

(this part is for everyone) I believe that you can make a special altar for any child born, or not born yet, or not even that close yet but thought of having. It is something scared and special and in its own way it is like a spell you do.

You honor and praise the things that are near and dear to you on your own altar, why would it be any different? Try it  . You just might find that something happens.

Brightest Blessings!
